I came across an idea for wiki use in elementary levels from a tech leader in Loveland.
Post a list of sight words on the wiki. Instruct parents to come up with a story (relating to the child) using as many sight words as possible. During class time, the short stories will be displayed and used as fluency practice. Haven't worked out technical details, but it's a start.
I saw a neat idea for K-1 wiki. Students/parents added pictures to an ongoing ABC wiki. The top pic was A and then people inserted pics according to where the beginning letter fell in the alphabet. As you scrolled down the wiki page, it became kind of an ABC book. They did the same for Numbers. They laid a number down and placed that amount of objects around it, took a pic and uploaded to the number wiki page. Would this work to share your 100 creations in Kindergarten?
